Call out the FCC and the Obama White House

It's time to stop the blatant criminal activity of corporations. Why do we go to jail for victimless crimes and corporations get to lie, cheat and steal with no consequences? Part of the promised change was to revoke the get out of jail free card for the elites.

Read this then call the White House at (202) 451-1111. Call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322). IF you're really industrious email the White House http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact and let them know that we were promised that the rule of law and justice was to be restored...so where's the proof of this long awaited change?

You can email the FCC folks and ask them to do their jobs and let them know we are watching. The Chairman Julius Genachowske has not acted on net neutrality...maybe he should resign...

If we don't act in our own self interest who will?

Chairman Julius Genachowski: Julius.Genachowski@fcc.gov
Commissioner Michael J. Copps: Michael.Copps@fcc.gov
Commissioner Robert McDowell: Robert.McDowell@fcc.gov
Commissioner Mignon Clyburn: Mignon.Clyburn@fcc.gov

Obama's Rule of Nonsense

President Obama refuses to reverse course on his decision to allow high level Bush administration war criminals to literally get away with murder and war crimes. President Obama refers to this as "not looking back."

If President Obama continues on this course he needs to make his decision apply to everyone. Fairness and equal justice for all is the essential foundation of the United States government. Therefore, President Obama's decision guts our justice system. To make this "not looking back" fair and just President Obama will have to dismantle our criminal justice system, eliminate courts, prisons, judges, police officers, prison guards, and lawyers. Who needs a Congress if there is no law? Dismantle the rule of law so that ALL of us are treated fairly.

Does this sound preposterous? How is it more preposterous than a United States government that only locks up poor people. You might be thinking, "but Bernie Madeoff just went to prison for 150 years." Yes but Bernie Madeoff made the mistake of robbing the rich. Only crimes against the rich appear to matter to the Bush and Obama administrations.

Obama's mantra of "not looking back" is nonsense. There can be no rule of law unless one looks back. That is what our courts do....they have to look back to determine guilt or innocense. President Obama is an attorney so he has no excuse for not enforcing our nation's laws in a fair and just manner. President Obama needs to do his job and do it properly. There are no excuses when it comes to the rule of law.

Mr. Obama needs to carefully read the New York Times editorial--Illegal and Pointless. According to the NYT:

President Obama has refused to open a full investigation of the many laws that were evaded, twisted or broken--pointlessly and destructively---under Mr. Bush. Mr. Obama should change his mind. A full accounting is the only way to ensure these abuses never happen again.

Many of the same folks who participated in the Iran Contra affair are participants in the latest atrocities. Atrocities continue to happen if there are no consequences, no trials, no prison sentences. We MUST have a full investigation or more atrocities, more crimes against the people of the US and the world will continue to occur.

Call the White House AND Attorney General Eric Holder and insist that they do the jobs we are paying them to do.

More Bush War Crimes....

Isn't the United States of America's history one of fighting war criminals not Be-ing War criminals?

Since when did the belief in justice become an "extremist" view in the United States

Break the Silence Join the UN Call for Justice in the USA

The UN Special Rapporteur on Torture called on the US to charge X-President George Bush and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld for their participation in torture activities and the mistreatment of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

According to-Manfred Nowak-the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture:
"Judicially speaking, the United States has a clear obligation" to bring proceedings against Bush and Rumsfeld...He noted Washington had ratified the UN convention on torture which required "all means, particularly penal law" to be used to bring proceedings against those violating it.

"We have all these documents that are now publicly available that prove that these methods of interrogation were intentionally ordered by Rumsfeld," against detainees at the US prison facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Nowak said.

"But obviously the highest authorities in the United States were aware of this," added Nowak, who authored a UN investigation report on the Guantanamo prison.

Bush stepped down from power Tuesday, with Barack Obama becoming the 44th president of the United States.

Asked about chances to bring legal action against Bush and Rumsfeld, Nowak said: "In principle yes. I think the evidence is on the table."

At issue, however, is whether "American law will recognise these forms of torture." (Source)
Join the calls for justice to restore the rule of law. Contact President Obama via the White House Switchboard at 202-456-1414. You can also send a comment to President Obama via this form. I would suggest adding VP Dick Cheney to the list since he has publicly stated that he approved various techniques (that international law defines as torture).

Break the silence that allowed Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld to commit war crimes in our name.

UPDATE--There are glitches with the White House Switchboard...the comments line is NOT set up and the WH Switchboard does not appear to be answering calls....there is just a message going on and on about staying on the line to speak to a White House operator. Unfortunatley at 8:32 am the WH operator who took my call rudely cut me off and transferred me to the non-existent comment line AFTER I had told her the comment line was not set up and taking calls. I suggest you ask for the operator number so they don't hang up on you. If enough folks call maybe the comment line will be set up quickly and the Obama White House Team will then be ready from day 2 to take citizen input. Heaven forbid we should have to wait until Day three or later.

I LOVE typing, thinking and saying PRESIDENT OBAMA.....I have high hopes that PRESIDENT OBAMA will listen to the majority of folks calling for justice and single payee universal health insurance....and the carpetbagger lobbyists will be forced to fade off into the sunset.

An Independent AG

Wow...What a difference!!

Hopefully this AG will be willing to restore the rule of law and send a strong message so our highest officials will know that they are bound by the laws and if they choose to distort and break laws they will be held accountable.  Isn't the deterrence factor crucial in any legal system?  Ours is definitely broken and needs to be fixed asap.

RED ALERT....CONTACT Your HOUSE REPRESENTATIVE ASAP

This morning you can step up to the plate and do your part to protect our "American" system of government. Contact your House Representative/ Let them know that you expect them to honor their oath and protect the constitution and the rule of law in America. They should vote against the telecommunication immunity.

The telecommunication corporate lobbyists have obviously managed to buy off both Republicans and Democrats. There is nothing in the concept of telecommunication immunity from illegal wiretaps that is in the public interest. American citizens have NOT been contacting Congress to circumvent the rule of law. ONLY Corporate fatcats and their lobbyists have the audacious gall to request the right to live outside the rule of law.

I have emailed my house representative and both Senators. I will follow up with a phone call to my house representative.

I even took the time to contact my Republican Senator John Warner. I am hoping that just once before he retires he will place a crucial vote that I agree with. Best case scenario....the house will kill this vote today and my email to the Senators will not be necessary.

But since Senator Warner is retiring...I will enclose what is probably my last email to him....just for fun.

I worked in the medical field and I follow the maxim to "Do no harm." I am requesting that you "do no harm" and vote to protect the rights of your constituents.

Never in the history of my country do I recall an American citizen (the kind that walks on two legs and depends on air and water for daily survival) asking their Senator or Representative to rewrite a law granting them immunity from a crime they have committed and from future crimes they may commit. Can you imagine?

The American people believe in accountability and a rule of law. I am writing to request that you honor your oath of office and protect our constitution and the checks and balances this document has placed into our government system that have served us so well since the birth of this nation.

I believe that the telecommunications corporations knowingly broke the law when the notorious Bush administration asked them to. Qwest Communications REFUSED the request by the White House and so they are not going to court on this matter. The other telecommunications corporations should have done the right thing.

But the corporations say they are innocent. Then the courts should be allowed to do their job. (I seriously doubt that these corporations believe they are innocent with the money they are spending to lobby Congress to write a law making them immune from prosecution.)

IF Congress grants immunity to the corporations and circumvents the rule of law in America it will be a dark day that will be indelibly stamped in history.

I pray you will do the right thing before you retire Senator Warner. The concept of immunizing the telecommunications industry is "un-American" to the highest degree....there is NOTHING in this concept that is in the public's interest and it is NOT the public that coneintues to pressure Congress to pass this bill.

Protect the constitution and the rule of law in America. Vote against the telecommunication immunity.

Sincerely,
Star Womanspirit

Congress is FINALLY holding some hearings; "allegations" against the Bush regime are being proven true.

Congressional investigations CONFIRM that the torture utilized by our military is NOT (as Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld told us) just a few rogue soldiers (who are currently in the brig serving serious time) . Those soldiers in the brig were simply carrying out orders from policy developed by top military leaders INCLUDING RUMSFELD (and probably Bush and Cheney too).....

So will our rule of law be enforced and these "bigwigs" brought to trial? Will Justice be returned to America? Stay tuned.....this Congress is liable to do anything.

Most recent evidence that this Democratic Congress is pandering to corporate interest instead of restoring the rule of law. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are at it again....betraying their oath of office and NOT defending our constitution and the inherent checks and balances built into our governmental system. Instead, they are pulling the rug out from under our courts, and allowing Bush to have his way....The telecommunications industry is on course to get it's congress approved immunity. American citizens will be wrongfully denied our day in court.

So what will it take to get the military generals AND the telecommunications corporations into a court of law where they belong? Will the democratic party choose new congressional leaders who will uphold their oaths of office and restore the rule of law to our land?

Will the Congress listen to Keith....to US?

Are there enough patriots in Congress to fight for the rule of law and not interfere with the judicial process? Let the courts do their job and if the Telecoms are guilty of illegal surveillance they should bear the lawful consequences. (And then the courts can take on the evildoers in our government who asked the Telecoms to spy on us.)

Are there enough patriots in Congress to uphold the rule of law, an essential element in any "alleged" democracy, and INSIST on having an attorney general who will go after the criminals and not protect them. It's better to have no attorney general than to get another Gonzalez in the office.

Stay tuned....better yet contact your elected officials and let them know you are aware of what they will be voting on. If you won't take the time to exert some pressure then who will?

Two New LIEBER-CRATS

Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) and Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) will join the Republicans and support George Bush’s sorry choice for attorney general. According to Feinstein and Schumer, the Justice Dept. is in desperate need of leadership.

It’s true...the Justice Department is in desperate need of leadership. Appointing another Roberto Gonzalez clone will not provide leadership. Mukasey will not stop torture nor will he hold the Bush Administration accountable under American Law or our Constitution. The vote stealing will continue and who knows who they'll pick for our next President? So why would any self-respecting Democrat vote to nominate another Gonzalez type of Attorney General? I'm starting to think that maybe Cheney and Bush have kept this Congress under illegal surveillance. Maybe they have now "got something" on Feinstein and Schumer so they can manipulate their votes?

The American people are in desperate need of Congressional leadership. We are sick of a Congress that caves into this childish, insane President every time he has a temper tantrum in order to get his way. So what if the Justice Dept did not have a Senate confirmed leader? What’s worst is having a Congress that will not do it’s job and stand up to this president.

Besides, if Bush wants Muskasey so much....just tell Bush NO....He'll be sure to make one of his infamous interim appointments the next time Congress takes a break.

I hope the voters in New York and California find replacements for Feinstein and Schumer….California voters could really go the extra mile and replace the new Decider Nancy Pelosi while they are at it.

Nevada voters should take vote for another Democrat to take Sen. Harry Reid’s seat.

We need to let the Democratic party know that they cannot act like the Republican leaders and get away with it.

We, the people need to take a strong stand and DEMAND that the Democratic party represent us. We desperately NEED at least two opposing parties in this country. We don ‘t need a radical Republican party and a Republican Lite party in Congress.

It’s Democrats like Feinstein, Schumer, Reid, and Pelosi are exactly WHY I am committed to remaining an independent. Don’t take our votes for granted or 2008 will send you a message that Republican Lite is NOT something we will settle for.

Stand Up To The Decider(s)

When we got out the vote and elected "our" Democratic Congress to stand up to "The Decider" in the White House none of us imagined that the Washington Dems would create two additional "Deciders" to counter what the people have clearly stated they wanted. Harry Reid is "deciding" for the Senate and Nancy Pelosi for the House. No wonder Congressional ratings in the polls are so low!

Yes the Republican Bloc in Congress is the main reason for the low polls, but the second reason for low poll ratings are these two additional "Deciders."

Harry Reid had "decided" that the giant, powerful telecoms are "above the law" and should not have to face their day in court. The voters are disgusted with the way the rule of law has been thrown away in this country. It's gotten to the point that the "rule of law" only applies to the middle and lower classes in this country....with a token elected official thrown into the mix occasionally.

Why should the most powerful institution in our country--the multinational corporations--be exempt from the law? There is currently a court case pending. Harry Reid you need to let the judicial branch do its job.

Hopefully, all of Virginia's elected officials--both Democrats and Republicans--will stand up to The Deciders and faithfully represent their constituents....not the powerful corporate lobbyists who have lots of money trying to buy "our" elected officials.

The "people" have made it very clear....we want our rule of law restored and our constitution protected. Hopefully we will all be able to contacting our Senators and our house representatives to remind them of that "our" constitution and the rule of law is the basic foundation of the democracy we treasure so highly. Bush the hypocritical, immoral President lets his criminal friend off the hook...

The Pensito Review exposes Bush's favoritism for his cronies. Last Year, Bush filed a motion to the court to uphold the 30-month sentence of a 24-year Marine Corps Veteran--Victor Rita. He was convicted of the same crimes as Scooter Libby.

It pays to be a Bush Cronie....you get hired to do jobs even when you lack experience and competency....and if you get caught being a criminal you get pardoned by the Prez.....but if you are a regular American citizen the Bush Cabal will throw the book at you..Bush is going to make sure none of his pals talk about the crimes of Bush and Cheney.

Won't Congress do it's job and impeach this President, Vice President, and Attorney General? Currently there is rule of law or justice in the USA as long as these cretins remain in office.

Keith Oberman Reports on Tricky Dick Cheney

Cheney has to keep his power grabbing war profiteering ways as "secret" as possible. The way Cheney is acting it's clear that Tricky Dick Cheney is actually the KING and Lil' Bush is only the Court Jester......
