As usual, Americans are getting massive does of lies, half-truths and propaganda to lead them to believe that "things are getter better everyday in every way" in Iraq, that the surge is working and Iraq is on the verge of becoming just another San Diego county, complete with shopping malls, sports teams and condominiums, with of course, lots of American military bases near by.
You would think that after five years, half a trillion dollars and hundreds of thousands of deaths, that the corporate media would at least get a little skeptical, but they aren't here to reveal the truth, rather to make you acquiescent to the agenda.
But the reality is far different in Baghdad and Iraq, as these two video clips reveal. Would you like to live in Baghdad right now?

Great video Mac....too bad Iraq is still so unsafe that the journalists aren't able to go in and tell us the truth of what is occurring. It's the rare journalist who has the ethnicity and the resources to be able to get in, do some reporting for a short while, and then get out alive.
Iraq is currently recognized as the greatest humanitarian crisis in the world today.
George, Dick and Condi continue to pat themselves on the backs for what they have done. It's such a needless tragedy....
If its so dangerous now, how did the MSM media operate when there was 80% more combat going on? How are the embedded, free lance reporters surviving? Check out Michael Yon and Micheal Totten.
When combat was at its heaviest, the MSM either hunkered down in their hotel rooms and hired Iraqis to go get news stories and film footage for them, or they went out on army/marine patrols as embedded reporters, wearing flak jackets and helmets, sometimes getting wounded and slain.
Almost 200 journalists and cameramen have been slain now since the war started, some of them by Americans.
There are very few embedded "freelance" reporters by the way. Almost all embedded reporters are credentialed corporate media reporters. "Free-lancer" usually refers to independent media reporters, who normally do not want to be embedded because the Pentagon makes them sign agreements to be censored if deemed necessary, and the Pentagon generally does not like independent reporters at all because they tend to turn over rocks they prefer to have left unturned.
Patrick Cockburn is probably the best independent reporter and has had close brushes with death several times. He reports there are a number places he can no longer go now.
I'm sure Iraq is looking forward to another hundred years of this.
According to EVERY public opinion poll of the Iraqi people ever taken....the answer is consistent.
The Iraqi people want the US troops OUT of Iraq. They want freedom from US.
