Brokaw Has Some Gall
Tom Brokaw said, "But I think especially you have to be careful about how you go after John McCain because of that Vietnam experience." Funny, he didn't talk that crap when the Republicans were going tooth and nail after Kerry's war time service in Viet Nam. What an asshole.

That's because McCain served honorably while Kerry did everything he could to flee the theater of operations. His Purple Hearts are suspect. And Kerry's actions after his return home, while still a Reservist, were dishonorable. He acted as the messenger of the North Vietnamese. He should have been tried for treason.
That's the reason for Brokaw's statement.
That is such BS cargosquid. Nixon has everyone in the Pentagon looking for stuff to discredit Kerry when he returned home from Vietnam ans was speaking out against the war and they could find NOTHING....
Brokaw spoke out because he's a very well paid corporate media pundit....there's quite a few of them out there with eyes closed and mouths open....

What? It's more honorable to get shot down and captured than it is to do your service and come home safely? And to say Purple Hearts are suspect is to discredit our military. What experience do YOU have, Cargosquid, to say who deserves a Purple Heart and who doesn't. My dad has two, and would never question another man's service and honorable commendations. All I see is another republican who cannot think for himself and who simply regurgitates Karl Rove.
I see the evidence provided by his former Naval Squadron members. You are correct. Never question HONORABLE decorations. There is evidence that his are not. Since the Swift Boat members did a better job than I could ever do, just go read their report. Yeah, I know, to you guys, they all lied and Kerry is a hero, no matter how many times its proven that he lied about his service. As a retired sailor myself, I feel personally insulted that the Navy never prosecuted him when he carried out the "negotitions" with the North Vietnamese after he returned. I don't care what he did as a civilian, but what he did as a Reservist.
