Is the US Constitution still relevant?

Whatever happened to freedom of the press? According to our first amendment--"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Yet the US executive branch is colluding with BP to use propaganda on the American people. Obama even allows BP to mis-use our Coast Guard to prevent journalists from documenting the Gulf Oil Disaster. Yet BP's paid public relations people are having no trouble with access as they paint a clean, serene picture of the Gulf Oil Disaster (kayakers in "pristine" conditions).

This is so criminal!! Where's that change we voted for? Appears to me that Obama continues the corporate agenda and the fascist regime of Bush and Cheney continues un-abated.

Amazing! You still manage to blame Bush and Cheney for this, even though it's the far Left which hates freedom of the press (and speech, and the right to keep and bear arms, and religion, etc.).

Booooooosh! Its all Booooooosshh's fault.

Everything is Bush and Cheney's fault. Nothing is Obama's fault, even when its his direct policies.....after 18 months.

Were you blaming Clinton for Bush's mistakes almost 2 years into his first term?

Are you two ingesting something wierd? I am placing blame where it belongs....with Bush/Cheney and now Obama.

So far my experiences on line with you (James Young) is that you have a big ax to grind and you are only trying to defend your right wing icons....I have yet to have any sort of a decent discussion with you.

Come to think of it during the Bush/Cheney years I don't recall you ever questioned your right wing icons...you appear to blindly follow them....and then project this trait of yours onto me.

I do challenge and question everyone even the folks I voted for.

Bush did not stop reporters from investigating anything. Katrina, Abu Ghraid, etc, "Exposes" happened all the time. Its Obama that is controlling access. Bush did not. THAT is why we said what we did.

We tried to warn you about Obama and his fascist, progressive tendencies, but....well, welcome to the New World Order.... ;)
