According to Kathleen Parker:
M
cCain can't repudiate his choice for running mate. He not only risks the wrath of the GOP's unforgiving base, but he invites others to second-guess his executive decision-making ability. Barack Obama faces the same problem with Biden.
Only Palin can save McCain, her party and the country she loves. She can bow out for personal reasons, perhaps because she wants to spend more time with her newborn. No one would criticize a mother who puts her family first.
Do it for your country.
Wonder what rabbit the Republican McCain campaign will try to pull out of the hat next? (I am referring to "stuntman" McCain. So don't misconstrue my "intent" and falsely state that I'm comparing Palin to a rabbit....)

When I wrote a newspaper column, I could dodge responsibility for headlines because I didn't write them.
You have no such excuse.
"Conservatives"?!?!
Try "A Conservative." It would be more accurate.
There are MILLIONS of us who wish Palin would take a long hike off a short Alaska pier. So, there really are many Conservatives calling for her to bow-out for the good of the GOP.
It was a stupid gimmick to begin with.
Now we are left with Bob Barr or Ralph Nader!
Had it been discovered that any Man who was selected as the Veep running mate, for either party, had a public record of abusing their State powers in their previous office, who admitted publicly to trespassing on the property of relatives and acting as a voyeur, of conducting State business on an unsecured back channel Yahoo account in order to skirt "sunshine laws" (ignoring recording and reporting requirements for official State business) and of course the reprisal firing of a long serving Commissioner because he refused to get her the vengeance she wanted by firing her State Trooper ex-brother-in-law.
The last time a public official acted anything like Palin, they were impeached. His name was Nixon.
Nixon was dishonest, but he was smart. Palin is crooked and she is as dumb as a cow pie!
james young...I think J Tyler Ballance helped make my point. It would have been very silly of me to think that only one conservative regretted the Sarah Palin VP pick....lots of conservatives in Alaska,
But nice try at that Republican spin to distract us.
