The BBC reports:
Claims have been received by the BBC and an Israeli human rights group that Israeli troops have fired on Gaza residents trying to escape the conflict area. Israel has strongly denied the allegations. The Belfast Telegraph reports:
BBC journalists in Gaza and Israel have compiled detailed accounts of the claims. (Details here).
At least three Palestinians in Gaza were shot dead yesterday after Israeli soldiers fired on a group of residents leaving their homes on orders from the military and waving white flags, according to testimony taken by the Israeli human rights group B'Tselem. The testimony was rejected by the military after what it said was a preliminary investigation. (Source)
These reports sound eerily familiar. When the Israeli military invaded Lebanon there were numerous reports of the Israeli military killing numerous civilian families fleeing their homes.
These allegations should be investigated. These are a few examples of the Israeli governmnet violating their defense trade agreements with US.
In the meantime, the USA continues to enable the commission of war crimes and state sponsored terrorism....and civilians--including women and children--are being slaughtered.
How can anyone defend these types of actions? Their is no excuse for any military force to behave in such a fashion.
