Milk and Prop 8 Musical

Hope you got a chance to see MILK that is playing at the Naro Cinema in Norfolk....Sean Penn definitely deserves the Oscar for Best Actor!

I found this at the Margaret Cho blog:

For those of you who haven't seen MILK yet, it's an absolutely amazing movie -- even if you aren't interested in progressive activism. I saw it in a private screening a few weeks before it was released in the DC area and it was by far the loudest applause I've ever heard a movie receive.

Interestingly enough, I'm going to see it again tonight with one of my best friends who hasn't been able to see it yet.

MILK is truly an amazing movie that everyone needs to see. It needs to be more widely released. Sean Penn brings Harvey Milk to life, and tells his story in such a believable way. Most importantly, people need to know where we've been to understand where we are now, and where we're trying to get to.

I so agree with both of you...I'm amazed that this incredible film is not at more theatres....Yes Virginia you are bigoted enough to pass that horrible constitutional amendment and heaven forbid you should have to examine your hateful bigotry.

Thank heavens we have the Naro Cinema. I won't even go to a lamestream corporate theatre anymore I prefer to support the Naro exclusively just b/c they are an incredible community resource.
