DSCC wants feedback? Give it to them.

A friend sent me this link from Senator Bob Menendez, the new chair of the Senate Democratic Committee. It appears he wants feedback from us.

I'm tired of my elected officials voting their economic interests. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has legislation that the Democrats did NOT support...Blind trusts for the investments of all members of congress.

In addition, we need campaign finance reform to get ALL lobbyists money out of Congress...No more freebies, gifts or money for campaigns.

THEN maybe Congress will vote in the best interests of their constituents instead of selling us out to corporations.

When the Democrats back up their empty promises by enacting these two simple measures then and only then can we trust you.

Citizens have no voice in our Congress

A citizen is taken out of the room for simply asking that Petraeus get sworn in.....the Senators sure don't like any citizen having a voice during "their" hearings.....maybe they should have a microphone so that citizens have an "opportunity" to speak either before or after the hearing.....if the Senators wanted to leave the room to do other business they could but the Senate should allow hearing time and make sure that cameras stay on for a specified amount of time.....maybe then we wouldn't have to fight to be seen or heard.....

When a citizen is willing to be arrested in an attempt to be heard something important is being left out of the dialogue. Better yet....some of these citizens should have an opportunity to have their questions asked asked the hearing...
