Is there a role for government when it comes to food?

End corn subsidies and you correct many problems. It is not companies that control the foods offered - it is the consumer.

I put the blame where it belongs...Big Agriculture which has bought our Congress...How can I represent my consumer choice when I can't even get a straightforward expiration date on my food products much less a label that tells me if the food is NOT genetically modified or radiated...sorry but I'm very lucky that I have local sustainable farmers to buy food from. Not everyone has a choice outside the LIMITED Corporate choices at the grocery store....

We should end the BIG AG subsidies starting with corn ad we should END the genetically modified crops that do nothing to increase the amount of food and CONTAMINATE the seeds of real food.

BUT that's not going to happen until we end the legalized bribery that the corporations love to do in order to get their own corporate written legislation passed and that limits our choices to increase corporate profits....
