CheneyBush will NOT visit the troops on Thanksgiving

According to Dekafile Cheney's office confirms that there are NO plans for VP Dick Cheney to visit the troops on Thanksgiving day.

We should have already known this...It's not a PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION YEAR. So the troops in Iraq backdrop is not needed for a "photo op."

The Bush administration needs to learn the difference between USING the troops and SUPPORTING the troops.

Hmm, I was thinking they didn't go because Iraq has fallen so far into CHAOS/ civil war this past year that it's simply wayyy too dangerous for them. I like your theory better though.

The two times that Bush has gone to "visit" the troops during the holidays it was a presidential election year.

Our poor troops have to serve under such un-caring, de-moralizing, chicken hawk leadership.....

Contrast this with Jim Webb who defied his advisers and took off during the labor day weekend (deemed crucial for his candidacy) to be with his son prior to deployment. Then Webb spent an additional few days with his son and his son's unit. Definitely not a "user"...definitely not a chicken hawk.

Hopefully Virginians will get a glimpse of what it's like to have someone representing them who serves with ethics and integrity and doesn't sell out to the highest bidding lobbyist.
