But hopefully YOU will remember this question and if you have the opportunity to ask any of the presidential candidates a question you would want to know their answer to this question. (Remember this is the main reason we have NAFTA and are losing jobs and our economic well-being)

CNN Censored the Democratic Presidential Debate

The number one question that the people of the USA wanted the Democratic candidates to answer--would they impeach? This is the question that got the greatest number of votes.



Why does the media continue to REFUSE to Fact Check the White House "False Statements." Why does the media give the Bush Cabal a license to lie without any checks and balances from our fourth estate? Is it because corporate media will get higher profits under a fascist ruler?

IF impeachment does not occur the next President will have the same unbalanced power....Our democracy depends on checks and balances. Congress needs to honor it's oath to "protect" the constitution and stop funding the Iraq War. Then we can support our troops, bring them home AND restore and preserve our democracy.

Now that we know CNN understands the concept of fact checking....they did "fact check" Michael Moore's Sicko movie....Viola they only got two facts wrong in their report and CNN has now concluded that all the facts in the Sicko movie are correct.

So why doesn't CNN FACT CHECK the spin that the White House is spewing concerning the latest NIE--National Intelligence Evaluation--report? Things look bad in Iraq...but the White House is confusing the facts and this is confusing the average American citizen.

I bet the average American citizen does not know that al-Qaeda comprises only 2-5% of the opposition forces our soldiers are fighting in Iraq. And Bush, Cheney, et al do NOT want the average American to know that the MAJORITY of FOREIGN Fighters in Iraq fighting US soldiers are from Saudi Arabia, allegedly an American ally. In fact Saudi Arabia has done more to fight our soldiers than anyone else (and this includes Iran).

Personally I'm sick of the Bush/Cheney lies and the fact that they are getting richer and sacrificing nothing over this war.

When will the media report that VP Cheney made a 3,000 percent profit on his Halliburton stock options last year? In one year for every $1,000 Cheney invested he got a return of $3,000,000. No wonder Cheney is dead set on invading Iran.

When will the media get to work, stop broadcasting the White House propaganda and start doing some basic Fact Checking where it counts.....on people in power?

Did Sunday's Corporate Media....

For those of you still watching the Sunday morning "pundits." The same folks who have gotten it so wrong for so long and continue to get it wrong....They actually promoted going to war in Iraq without fact checking the Republican propaganda and asking the hard questions. Folks like Robert Novak, Wolf Blitzer, Chris Mathews, et al.....They are quick to jump on anyone who offers an alternative to the Bush and/or corporate plan. Most recently this could be evidenced by Wolf Blitzer and the CNN attack on Michael Moore.....the Michael Moore who fact checks his documentaries meticulously and offers us alternatives to explore and discuss.

If you are still watching the same pundits " who get it wrong but keep mouthing the corporate propaganda"....answer me this....Did anyone come as close to speaking the truth today as this stand up comic?

It's a sad day for journalism and the "free press" when the comediennes do a better job of reporting than the "corporate pundits....." Maybe if folks stop watching the propaganda pundits the corporate media (anxious to keep advertisers might actually hire some genuine, competent journalists to start giving us some accurate news reports for a change.

In the meantime, I suggest you watch independent journalists such as Amy Goodman on Democracy Now. You might also subscribe to DISH network ( NOT Rupert Murdoch's satellite company) where you will get access to two channels on the basic program...FSTV and LINKTV which has a number of sound news programs and good commentaries and documentaries. Democracy Now is available on the web as are some of the programs at FSTV and LINKTV.

CNN joins Media Propaganda Campaign against Universal Health Care

CNN has repeated the lie that NO presidential candidate supports National Health Care for all. It's not difficult to predict that the corporate media will continue to spew news reports with a distinct corporate bias in favor of the insurance and pharmaceutical multinational corporations.

Have they no shame?

The issue of health care and how it fails ALL Americans (even those who "think" they are protected with their insurance policies) is getting ready to hit the national stage. This bipartisan issue has the potential to unite the American people and create a change that is long overdue in our health care system. Hopefully, this time Americans will act in their own best interests and INSIST that the candidate they choose to support will commit to solving our health care crisis once and for all.....with a national single payee system that covers everyone.

But the media and "our" public airwaves will continue to be used against us. After all, it is not illegal for corporate news to lie about the facts and spread propaganda.....It's time to stop watching corporate news that works against us.
