Call out the FCC and the Obama White House

It's time to stop the blatant criminal activity of corporations. Why do we go to jail for victimless crimes and corporations get to lie, cheat and steal with no consequences? Part of the promised change was to revoke the get out of jail free card for the elites.

Read this then call the White House at (202) 451-1111. Call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322). IF you're really industrious email the White House http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact and let them know that we were promised that the rule of law and justice was to be restored...so where's the proof of this long awaited change?

You can email the FCC folks and ask them to do their jobs and let them know we are watching. The Chairman Julius Genachowske has not acted on net neutrality...maybe he should resign...

If we don't act in our own self interest who will?

Loose Lips Sink Fascist Ships

Red leather coat, Iron Cross-type jewelry, slicked-back hair and aquiline features, White House foreign policy advisor Debra Cagan looks like a cariature of a Gestapo agent from the 1940s, except she should have a black coat on to totally replicate the stereotype. Actually red and black were the Nazi colors. How interesting that she attires herself like this and has asides about hating all Iranians. This just reaffirms what I have been saying for several years, that the forces running our government have pretensions to be the Fourth Reich, and have substituted the hatred of Arabs and Moslems, indeed all the perceived inferior races, Blacks included, for the Nazi hatred of Jews, Gypsies and Slavs. This is the subtext going on beneath much of the official rhetoric.

The War on Terror is, in the psychological depths, a crusade against Islam and anchored in racial hatred of other races centered in the Middle East and Western Asia. You have only to research some of the ditties being sung in US Army and Marine Corps Boot Camps for this to be rammed home to your consciousness. It was a similar situation in Vietnam. Gooks then, Sandniggers now, both wars fueled by race hatred.

Ironically, Iran is Persian and of Aryan stock historically, the same Aryan ancestry that the Nazis idealized into blonde, blue-eyed Nordics.

Media Watch---Please FACT CHECK

When will the corporate media allow journalists and reporters to do their jobs? The job starts with FACT CHECKING....The Republicans are dispersing a bunch of talking points that are FALSE...and the corporate media is once again becoming a fascist neo-con propaganda machine...simply reporting false accusations.

1--The White House wants the Democratic Congress labeled a "do nothing" Congress....FALSE...it's the Republican party who are putting the brakes on legislative activities. IF Congress does pass a decent bill King George is threatening to VETO.

2--The White House is reporting PROGRESS with the Bush Surge. FALSE--Insurgent attacks are higher now than they were pre-surge...and the Iraqi government has not met a single bench mark. The White House desperately wants the American people to think progress is being made so they can continue this war. The White House is already acting like the September deadline means nothing....They want another "new" deadline set for Spring. Once again the same old spin just to keep this war going on and on and on....while the American people continue to die and go heavier and heavier into death. And for what? So George Bush and Dick Cheney can save face and continue to collect war time profits for themselves and their cronies?

3--The White House is still itching to attack Iran so they continue to state that Iran is "meddling" in Iraq's affairs. This is partially true. However, they do not mention that the BIGGEST MEDDLER are Bush and Cheney's favorite Middle East nation--Saudi Arabia. The Saudi's are increasing their support (with manpower and material support) of the Sunni's....the very insurgents attacking our troops on a daily basis. In addition, the Bush White House has just discovered a Saudi bank and a Saudi family financing Al Qaeda...and they have decided to do nothing about it. Yet with the latest Bush executive order they will immediately confiscate an American citizen's property and cash assets if Bush thinks they are subverting the Iraqi war effort. And now Bush and Cheney want to sell the Saudi's more military hardware....military hardware that "could" make it's way into Iraq and be used against our troops. Heckuva job Bushie.

The corporate media has shown that all it will do is spread propaganda. The corporate media helped us get into this war with propaganda and they are going to continue the propaganda to keep us in this war....

So American's need to continue to shout out to the Congress to SUPPORT OUR TROOPS AND STOP THE WAR NOW!!

Beware that the neo-cons have recently begun an onslaught into the blogosphere and are now supplying talking points to various right wing blogs.....They continue to believe the endless repetition will once again sell falsehoods as truth to the American people.

Please don't drink the Kool Aid folks. Remember that recent history shows that if the White House is making a statement it is probably false......don't believe anything unless you fact check it yourself.

John Warner needs serious scrutiny

The recently passed John W. Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2006 has some fine print that should concern everyone. The new law--PL109-364--should be reviewed by many. The provision that is so alarming is entitled, “Use of the Armed Forces in Major Public Emergencies.”

According to Senator Leahy, (D-Vermont), the measure virtually invites the White House to declare federal martial law. It breaks h historical tradition of "federal restraint." “The changes to the Insurrection Act will allow the President to use the military, including the National Guard, to carry out law enforcement activities without the consent of a governor....Using the military for law enforcement goes against one of the founding tenets of our democracy."

Is anyone surprised that this bill was rubber stamped and rushed through Congress with the due haste that we have come to expect from the "Rubber Stamps" anxious to continue Bush's War on our civil liberties? This provision “was just slipped in the defense bill as a rider with little study,” Leahy said. “Other congressional committees with jurisdiction over these matters had no chance to comment, let alone hold hearings on, these proposals.”

Of course, our sweet talking allegedly "moderate" Senator John Warner had his hands all over this bill and it's passage.

Just like Warner was able to successfully prevent hearings on the renderings and White House authorized torture policies he was able to rush a hasty bill provision through Congress that authorizes Bush to trump the rights of states and their citizens if Bush decides martial law is necessary.

Warner has granted more power to a President who has shown that he is the one who needs adult supervision. It seems to me that John Warner and Arlen Specter (R-PA) are operating by the same game plan.

I hope that Warner does run in 2008. The message that the voters could send the Rubber Stamp Congress in showing him the door would truly be powerful.

Hopefully the new Democratic chair--Carl Levin--will legislate Warner's martial law provision out of existence asap. No one needs to give George Bush a new toy to wreck havoc with in his remaining two years in office.

The True National Debt is not being reported...

According to the official U.S. Financial Report, released by the Treasury Department:

* The true 2005 deficit is $760 billion, not the $318.5 billion Bush reported
o This is 6.2% of the GDP, not 2.6%
o That's $156,000 for every citizen, or $375,000 for every working American
* The true national debt is $49 trillion, not the $8.3 trillion Bush reported
o This figure has more than doubled in the past five years
o We paid $327 billion last year on interest alone
* It's all getting worse

Due to the Government using a cash accounting basis this does not include future spending promises like Medicare and Social Security, or even future spending guarantees like veterans' benefits and federal employee pensions.

So the Debt is even bigger than this report.

Rep. Jim Cooper (D-TN) released the report in the form of a book--What the White House Does Not Want You To Read--so the public can get the facts. Cooper said, "I think [the report] is the most powerful critique of the Bush Administration....No Republican can deny this attack (The report was produced by the Republican Administration)."

The Bush White House attempted to keep this report out of the public eye. They distributed the report to less than 20 members of Congress during the Christmas holiday season with no press release or media announcement. What do you want to bet that those 20 members were Republicans? (Or maybe the pseudo-democrat Joe Lieberman "might" have gotten a copy of the report.)

Hopefully progressive accountants will get a copy of this report and educate us some more.
