DEMOCRATS DOUBLE STANDARD

If it's a progressive issue (such as Health Care, Wall Street Regulations or a Consumer Protection Agency) 60 votes are needed in the Senate. IF it's for a conservative or corporate cause--confirming Wall Streets Inside Man, Ben Bernanke--only 51 votes are needed.

This double standard is not just obvious in the Congress. Obama's promise of giving everyone a seat at the healthcare table was glaring in not giving a single seat to a progressive advocate of single payee and allowing Big Pharma and the Health Insurance Industry to buy seats and pack the healthcare debate. The writing is on the wall. Progressives should be creating a new party or making a bee line to the Green Party ASAP.

When will the Bush Cabal End?

It looks like it's up to the "people" to demand an end to the Bush Cabal--Don't give up...Contact your elected representatives at least once a week. Let them know you want Impeachment, and to protect the Constitution and the Civil Liberties it grants to "we, the people."

Unfortunately this democratically controlled congress fears and respects Bush and Cheney much more than they do the voters who gave them the control of Congress. Maybe the Dems need enough wake up calls on a regular basis to instill some respect for the people who actually vote them into office. The Dems need to realize that they don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of capturing the White House if they can't show their base and the American people that they are in reality a second, "opposition" party.

Let's show them that there are not enough "good germans" in this country that will allow Bush and Cheney to continue their war crimes against Iraq or Iran.

The American people want net neutrality and our groups on the right, the left, and in the middle all want net neutrality also.

Yet the Democratic Congress has not bought this issue up to be voted on.

And now the Corporations are flexing their muscles and trouncing on the righs of citizen.

Verizon wireless would not allow NARAL to utilize text messaging on their mobile phones. According to Verizon, its messaging system was closed to groups with content or an agenda that "may be seen as controversial or unsavory to any of our users." (Source-L.A. Times)

Contact your Va Representative and Fa Rep.Boucher and ask him why his net neutrality amendment has not made it to the house floor. Also Contact Jim Webb who ran on net neutrality and ask him to support getting Olympia Snoew's net neutrality amendment to the floor.Contacting Olympia Snowe, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid would also be helpful.
